Firestone Walker Solace

Here’s a wheat seasonal from the folks at Firestone. This beer features 2-Row, White Wheat, Toasted Wheat, Munich, Acidulated, Cara-Wheat, and Cara-Foam malts. The hops include Willamette and something called French Stissel Spalt.

American Pale Wheat Ale. 4.8% ABV. 13 IBUs. California. Spring and Summer Availability.

Golden hazy color with a fantastic head.

Terrific nose. You get those esters and phenols you’d expect with a hint of honey and a floral hop profile.

Light-medium body with medium carbonation. Good feel.

Fruity to floral up front. Esters, but not as much phenols on the palate. Honey and grainy finish which lasts for days.

Absolutely fantastic. 93 points.
