Goose Island IPA

CIMG7728

Even though I’ve been able to try quite a few of Goose Island’s offerings, their regular lineup hasn’t been easy to find. Luckily, my grocery store just brought in the IPA and the Honkers. Goose Island is going for an English style IPA here that features Pale malt with Pilgrim, Styrian Goldings, Cascade, and Centennial hops

Stats:
English India Pale Ale. 5.9% ABV. 55 IBUs. Illinois.

Light coppery color. Head and lacing are only okay.

Spicey hops in here with a dusty malt complexion. Tis alright.

Mouthfeel isn’t too bad, but I find it a bit lighter than I’d like.

Spicey and floral hops, but it’s not aggressive. Little bit of bitterness, but well balanced. Hint of caramel and vanilla on the finish.

Not a bad beer, but why buy an IPA from the midwest when you live in Seattle? 85 points.
