Newcastle Founder’s Ale

Here’s a brand new release from Newcastle. They explain nothing about the beer other than it’s a pale ale. There’s a bunch of crap about heritage and how amazing they are and all that, so I’ll just skip it.

English Pale Ale. 4.8% ABV. Scotland.

Burnt orange color. It has a decent head with a vigorous pour.

I can’t smell a thing on the nose.

Mouthfeel has a creamy medium body but still retains a crisp carbonation.

Sweet malts up front, completely hollow in the middle and ends on a grainy, slightly sweet flavor. It’s a bit grassy and straw like.

There’s a number of beers from the UK that come in a nitro can that blows this out of the water. 73 points.
