John Smith’s Extra Smooth Ale

I’ve never had this brew, but I’m a sucker for anything nitro. Looks like your typical English bitter with an ABV of 3.8%. They say this is their nations #1 ale, whatever that is supposed to mean.

English Bitter. 3.8% ABV. England.

Love the nitro. Light tan color which reveals a clear burnt orange color with a white head.

Definitely smells English with a very malty nose. It brings a bit of sweetness, caramel, and an apple-y kinda thing.

Nice creamy mouthfeel with a light-medium body. Nice drinkability.

Little bit of sweetness, little bit of caramel, light fruits including apple with a hint of roast and caramel on the finish.

Very similar to how I remember Boddington’s tasting. I’m kind of a sucker for these kind of beers. I love the nitro and the sessionability of them. 84 points.
