Airways Sky Hag IPA

One of the coolest labels ever from one of the coolest themed breweries ever. Also, the description is pretty cool: “She hates you and her job. But, she gets to go to Paris twice a month. This beer’s as bitter as she is. An abundance of Northwest “C” Hops give this beer its bite.” Time to drink.

American India Pale Ale. 7.8% ABV. 99+ IBUs. Washington.

Your general IPA coppery color. The head wasn’t spectacular, but it does leave some sticky lacing on the glass.

Very piney on the nose. Lots of earthy components here, but a whole lot of pine sap.

Mouthfeel is solid. Medium-ish body. Carbonation is on the higher side. Awfully drinkable for the ABV.

Very earthy, lots of pine, mushrooms and hint of dirt. Yes, dirt. Taste it sometime. Definitely some bitterness here, make no mistake.

I’m not a huge fan of this. It’s got some nice qualities, but ultimately, the flavor profile leaves much to be desired. 85 points.
