Chatoe Rogue Pumpkin Patch Ale

Picked up a couple of these at the local Rogue brewpub the other day. I had to get one of my Pumpkin Beer Club tasting on Saturday which should be pretty epic. This beer features 2-row, Carawheat, Carafe, with Rebel hops and of course pumpkins, ginger, vanilla beans, cloves, cinnamon, cardamom, and nutmeg.

Pumpkin Beer. 5.6% ABV. Oregon. Fall Seasonal.

Actually a pretty dark. Looks like a brown or a scotch ale. Nice foamy head.

Your typical pumpkin pie spices, but actually a bit subdued. They don’t hit you in the face, instead just gives you a hint. A little bit of chocolate/caramel coming through as well.

Mouthfeel is quite nice. Fairly full bodied and silky with a medium carbonation which gives it some drinkability.

Spices come through a bit more here with a fairly chocolatey and caramel malt profile. Nice length, nice balance.

Very solid brew. Probably one of my favorite pumpkin beers now. It’s got a fantastic body with a nice balance and doesn’t knock you over with spices. I really did the darker malts as well. 90 points.
