Snipes Mountain IPA

This is a new local beer for me. This IPA comes from a town near Yakima, Washington. If you are uneducated, that’s where most of the hops produced in the US come from (Read: God’s country). Let’s see how this is.

American India Pale Ale. 5.6% ABV. Washington.

Copper color. Not much to say about the head.

Smells like a fairly balanced IPA. Lots of malt coming through. Slightly sweet caramel with just a hint of hop citrus.

Mouthfeel is highly carbonated with a medium body.

A bit of citrus and pine near the front, but the malt comes through quite a bit after that and ends on a sticky pine note. Just a hint of apple and black pepper on the finish.

It’s a solid beer, but will definitely get lost in the crowd. 86 points.
