Boulevard Collaboration No. 3 Stingo

This is a collaboration between Boulevard and Pretty Things and features “traditional English ingredients”. It’s actually a blended from three different batches. One batch was normally fermented, another on oak, and a third was soured in the mash tun.

English Strong Ale. 8.5% ABV. 35 IBUs. Missouri. Limited Release.

Dark brown color with a really dense head. It looks great if nothing else.

Very malty nose with dark and caramel malts coming through. Some caramel, hint of chocolate, and hint of vanilla. Almost dessert like.

Mouthfeel is fairly creamy, but has some heavy carbonation which makes the beer a lot more drinkable.

More chocolate on the palate than the nose with a nice roast quality. Hint of that caramel and vanilla. It’s drier than I thought it was gonna be, but has a slight tart quality upfront.

I didn’t think I’d like this that much, but man is it delicious. Lovely malt flavor that doesn’t destroy you with sweetness. I could sip on this all day long. 91 points.
