Silver City Saint Florian IPA

It took me quite a long time to find this beer for some reason. It’s named after the patron saint of firefighters and some of the proceeds go to the Washington State Council of Firefighters benevolent fund. I was advocate buying a brew if it means a little extra money is going to something worthwhile. The beer features NW Pale, Caramel, British Pale, and Munich malts with Cascades and Columbus hops.

American India Pale Ale. 6.9% ABV. 55 IBUs. Washington.

Typical looking IPA. Decent head with a burnt orange color.

Lovely hop profile on this one. It brings one of the most peppery beers I’ve ever smelled with a slight floral quality. Very nice.

Mouthfeel is perfect. Medium body with medium carbonation.

Lovely floral and spice flavors mixed with a slight citrus component. It gets just a hair piney on the finish. Medium bitterness at the most.

This is just fantastic. It’s a lovely hop profile and it doesn’t claw your face off with bitterness. I think it’s become a favorite. 92 points.
