Bridgeport Kingpin Double Red Ale

This is a new release from Bridgeport that features rye and caramel malts with Liberty hops. It’s “triple-hopped”, so you know it’s gotta be good.

American Red Ale. 7.5% ABV. 65 IBUs. Oregon.

Light red color. Fairly decent head.

Pretty hoppy nose with a floral and pine aroma with a background of caramel.

Mouthfeel is medium body with a medium-high carbonation.

Caramel and vanilla hit the palate first and it transitions to a piney and floral to spicey hop profile and finishes on a medium bitterness with vanilla.

It’s a solid hoppy brew, but doesn’t knock my socks off. 87 points.
