Laurelwood Green Mammoth

I’ve generally been a big fan of Laurelwood and I especially love this label. No mention of this on the website, but according to the bottle it features Cascade, Ahtanum, and Amarillo hops. Let’s give it a try.

Imperial India Pale Ale. 9.0% ABV. Oregon. Limited Release.

Nice dark orange color with a really beautiful head that leaves just fantastic lacing on the glass as it’s drunk.

The nose is actually just a bit closed, but there’s some pine coming through and just a bit of grapefruit and orange.

Mouthfeel is very nice. Fairly full bodied with a lower amount of carbonation. It’s fairly silky and let’s you know this is a big boy.

Pine, honey, grapefruit, and orange flood the palate. Some stone fruits come in a bit during the mid-palate then ends of a medium-high bitterness and honey drizzled apricots.

Damn tasty. Buy. 90 points.
