Scuttlebutt Tripel 7

Here’s a seasonal from Scuttlebutt in Everett. There’s not an abundance of Belgian style ales from Washington, so it’s always interesting to taste them when they come around.

Tripel. 9.0% ABV. 11 IBUs. Washington. Seasonal.

Really nice golden color with a loose, white head.

Very fruity nose, but it is a bit closed. A bit of honey comes through as well.

Mouthfeel is a lighter medium body with a heavy amount of carbonation.

Honey, brown sugar, and some light fruits show up here with a little bit of a hop balance on the back. Nice length of honey drizzled pears and apples.

A very solid tripel that brings some sweetness, fruity-ness, and a little bit of hop presence. No need to shy away from this one. 88 points.
