Silver City Winter Bock

Silver City calls this a Thanksgiving seasonal. This bock won a Silver at NABA in 2005, and features “five different German and domestic malts”.

Bock. 6.9% ABV. 26 IBUs. Washington. Fall Seasonal.

Rich, chocolate brown color. There’s a small head that lasts for awhile, but turns into a Coke look.

Sweet malts on the nose with chocolate, caramel, toffee, with just a hint of dark fruits coming through.

Great mouthfeel. It’s fairly high in carbonation, but has a nice medium body.

The palate has chocolate, coffee, caramel, dark fruits. It has quite a bit of length with just a hint of hops.

Not a bad brew at all. It’s a fairly heavy bock, but still drinkable. Give it a try. 88 points.
