Pyramid Curve Ball

This Kolsch is Pyramid’s Summer offering. It features 2-row and malted wheat with Vanguard and Perle hops. I’m always looking for a good Summer brew, especially one that’s cheap for BBQ’s and get-togethers. Let’s see if we can add this to the rotation.

Kolsch. 5.0% ABV. 18 IBUs. Washington. Available April-July.

Pale yellow in color, carbonation streams, not much head.

The nose is fairly typical. Some grain, lemon, and a bit of light fruits.

Light with crisp carbonation. Works.

You get some grainy malts with a lot of honey and some peaches and tropical fruits. Actually has some length.

Nothing amazing, but it really isn’t too bad a beer. It’s a Summer brew that’s crisp. You can keep some of these on ice on that hot day. That’ll do the job. 83 points.
