Scuttlebutt Amber

I bought this sixer because I’ve never reviewed this beer before. Turns out the 2 of the beers were the Gale Force IPA (not complaining) and 3 of the 4 amber were infected (complaining). Luckily, there was one good amber to review. The others tasted like vinegar. This beer features Mt. Hood and Willamette hops.

American Amber Ale. 5.1% ABV. 23 IBUs. Washington.

Amber color, not much head.

Sweet malts and a floral and brown sugar thing. Nothing too exciting.

Low to medium body.

I’m getting this cherry drink sort of thing mixed in with brown sugar. It does bring some hops on the back to balance and leaves a custard flavor on the palate.

It’s so-so, that’s about it. 83 points.
