Bridgeport Summer Squeeze

This new seasonal from Bridgeport is a blonde ale that features lemongrass and yuzu fruit, which is apparently an Asian citrus fruit.

American Blonde Ale. 4.5% ABV. 19 IBUs. Oregon. Summer Seasonal.

Very yellow color, no head.

Very lemony nose, almost like a lemonade thing. Definitely some grain coming through with a bit of herbacious-ness like basil (or lemongrass). Interesting nose, very fruity.

Mouthfeel is highly carbonated with a very light body. Extremely drinkable.

Just a ton of lemon on the initial, but once the fruit subsides a bit, the malty-ness comes through with a heavy dose of cracker on the finish. I’m getting a mineral type of flavor on the mid-palate, too.

This is probably most similar to a shandy or radler. It tastes like lemonade was mixed with a helles lager. I kinda dig it because I love citrus. 84 points.
