Peace Tree Red Rambler

Once again, thanks to @fnbarrett for this beer! This red comes from Iowa. I’ve actually had some of the beers from this brewery before at a tasting. They make the Hop Wrangler which tastes exactly like twizzlers. Let’s see if this one is interesting.

Red Ale. 5.8% ABV. 35 IBUs. Iowa.

Ruby to caramel in color, creamy head but doesn’t last.

Not a whole lot comes through on the nose here. Definitely darker malts and the hops do come through. It’s got this sort of creamy dessert like aroma from the sweetness of the malts and the hint of fruits and caramel. It’s like strawberries and plums drizzled with caramel sauce with cream on the top.

Mouthfeel is very frothy and light.

More hops on the palate bringing a tad pinch of pine and earth with that little bit of sweetness.

Kinda straight forward, kinda boring. It’s a pretty easy drinker and worth having a couple, but not all that exciting. 83 points.
