Black Boss Porter

This is a Polish beer that I really can’t tell you about. I couldn’t even find it listed on their website. But anyways, I’ve seen this beer for a long time, and finally grabbed one. It’s actually really cheap, so I was a bit skeptical about the quality.

Baltic Porter. 9.4% ABV. Poland.

Blackish looking, but also very red in the light. Alright head, but pretty good lacing.

Good nose, I get a lot of chocolate, coffee, a little sour/funk note. Also has some nice fruit, banana, lemon, plums, sweetness, molasses, and brown sugar.

Medium bodied with a little bit of carbonation, good mouthfeel.

Sweetness with a coffee, cocoa flavor, has a bit of that sour/funk thins. A little of that fruit. Actually reminds me a bit of a Belgian. It ends with little bitterness, but a lot of a roasted, almost burnt flavor.

I like this one. It’s solid and really cheap, go try one. 88 points.
