Blue Moon Grand Cru 2009

It took me a very long time to buy this beer and I only did it because it was on sale. It’s normally over 10 bucks for a bottle. That’s a bit much for something from Coors. So, I’m a bit biased, but I’ll give it a fair review.

Witbier. 8.2% ABV. Colorado.

Murky, brownish, yellow color, not much head.

The nose is similar to regular Blue Moon. Lots of orange and coriander. Fairly Hi-C orange smelling. A little brown sugar, honey, and spice. Alcohol does seem to show just a bit.

Mouthfeel is way too carbonated.

Palate is candy orange and coriander/spice. Some brown sugar and honey notes. Some spice, orange and lemon zest on the finish.

Pretty okay beer. Just don’t pay full price for this. 83 points.
