Leffe Blonde

This is one of the more common Belgium beers around, and it may be a beer for you if you are looking to get into Belgian beers while on a budget.

Pale Ale. 6.6% ABV. Belgium

It has a golden copper color, with a nice frothy head.

The nose is a bit yeasty, with bananas, malt, caramel, and is slightly sweet. Nothing too crazy here.

It has a fairly carbonated mouth feel, and is a bit heavy in the mouth.

Lot of yeast, and some malt coming through on the palate. I get banana, cherries, apples, and is a bit mineraly, as well.

All in all, it’s a fairly basic, straight forward beer. It’s not something I’d probably go out of my way for, but it is an accessible beer for those of you wanting to get into Belgians. 80 points.
