Sound Tripel Entendre
This will be the third review of these guys after the double IPA and the dubbel. This time, we have a Belgian Tripel. The first two beers were really great, so I’m expecting good things from this. Let’s see it is.
Stats:
Tripel. 9.9% ABV. 43 IBUs. Washington.
Bright golden color. Has a nice head, but it doesn’t seem to last too long.
Very complex nose. It’s got that Belgian yeast with a ton of fruit. I’m getting some stone fruits with a hint of the tropical. There’s a nice spice component that brings a little anise component.
Mouthfeel is ridiculous. Just a huge body for a Tripel, but it’s definitely got a spritzy carbonation.
Wow, this is gorgeous. Lots of complexity here. Love the yeasty component, mixed with a lot of fruit and spices. Stone fruits and holiday spices mix with an enormous length. Honey fills the backend with fresh apples and pears. Oh, and you would never guess the ABV.
This doesn’t disappoint. Gorgeous beer. 92 points.
